Angels among us

I want people to know some things about some good people. Some of you know and are friends with Phil Hoffman. Recently he posted on Facebook that a friend of his knew of a little boy that lost his Daddy and his home in a fire. The boy had nothing left and he needed some furniture, Phil asked his friends to help out. My neighbors across the street I knew were getting rid of some bedroom furniture, I called them up and sure enough the Salvation Army was coming to pick it up in a few days. They asked me what I needed and told me it was mine. Phil brought his truck and trailor up on a snowy night last week to pick it all up. Phil loaded up a bed, a nightstand, and a 22 inch tv for the little boy. When my neighbor Erik found out why Phil was doing this he threw in a new toy that he had in basement. I'm still touched at the kindness of both of these people. When you surround yourself with good people you can sit back and just wait for good things to happen. Is it a miracle? no, but a little boy without a Daddy has a bed to sleep in and maybe, just maybe a lit bit of comfort. We can't fix the world all in one day but we can try heal it one smile at a time.
